A bit about our team...
George Linder - Consultant
George has been auditing businesses for almost 40 years. Initially a
biology / chemistry major, George majored in math and became a
statistician predicting construction costs during the building phase of
SCE&G's V.C. Summer Nuclear Plant. George
returned to USC for an accounting degree and was later hired as a Sales Tax
Auditor by the South Carolina Tax Commission. George worked as an
Auditor, Field Audit Supervisor, Audit Selection Specialist and Appeals
Oficer. He was the developer of the first computer assisted audit
program in the country, one of the three writers of the 1990 recodification
of South Carolina's sales tax laws, and a resource for other
employees. After leaving the Department of Revenue, George worked with
a consulting firm based in North Carolina for 17 years using his skills to
save others money and insure the proper amounts of tax are reported.
Melissa Tausche - Sales Development
Melissa's background is in sales. She is the Western North Carolina Manager for Heartland Payment Systems.
Melissa assists with client procurement working extensively with non-profit / governmental entities, manufacturers and large retailers.
William Edwin Phillips, Jr. - Business Development Manager & Consultant
Ed has 27 years experience in the business development and marketing sector having worked with industry leaders such as Piedmont Airlines,
PACE Communications, and The Southern Progress Corporation. Ed currently manages business development for Sales & Use Tax Consulting where his passion is the recovery
of sales tax for North Carolina non-profits. Ed has managed sales tax recovery for children’s homes, religious organizations and general contractors.
Colleges, schools, churches and other non-profit organizations derive benefit from Ed's understanding of business symbiosis.
